The Lakeview Area is in need of a new building to house the library.

The current facility is a two-story house located on East Lacock Street in Sandy Lake.  It is in a condition that requires constant repairs.  Additionally, it lacks adequate space to conduct community meetings, preschool and after-school activities, adult programming and informational sessions.  The mission of both the Lakeview Area Public Library Board and the Friends Focus group is to have a functional library with a neighborhood feel that is inviting, educational, and enjoyable to all community members.

To commemorate the year 2017 and to help us raise funds towards this project we are asking for a donation of $20.17.

With the beginning of the new year and a new project, we are asking the members of the various communities and townships in the Lakeview Area to support a building project by becoming a patron of the Lakeview Area Public Library!

All donations are tax deductible because we are a 501c3 organization.

Checks should be made payable to Lakeview Area Public Library, PO Box 622, Sandy Lake, PA 16145.  Online donations can also be made by clicking the Donate button above!  If you’d like to designate your giving to operating expenses vs. building fund, you may do so.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, you can email us at director@lakeviewarealibrary.org or

call (724) 376-4217.

We are also seeking donors willing to consider giving at these donor levels:

Legacy Level                $1000 - $4999

Didn't get a chance to buy our Christmas bulb for 2016 of the Lake at Stoneboro?  We have a few left available for purchase.  Ask at the library.   Our new 2017 is now available and features a scene from the Great Stoneboro Fair.

We want your gently used books!

We accept book donations throughout the year.  Donated books benefit the library in many ways.  They may be added to our collection, sold online, or used in our book sale.  Please no magazines, encyclopedias, Reader's Digests, textbooks, or moldy books.  Donations may be brought to the library during our hours of operation.

Our community is gearing up toward creating a new library and we need your help!

We are asking for community members to contribute $20.17 or more in our first annual campaign!

Challenge your family members and relatives, friends, co-workers or social groups to see how many “20.17’s” they can donate!  Better yet…”bundle” up and pull together $2,017!
